Went to mamak with my college friends yesterday.

Yesterday we even went to Sherlyn's "so called",rombongan sambil belajar ke pet shop..OMG!!!
too bad Sherlyn wasn't able to join us, nevermind, after finals, we can go until kao kao..hahah

Some might ask, Charles, your finals is like next tuesday, why are you still so relax arr, go here, go there, photoshooting here & there, foot spa every night and stuff...worst still, onlining almost 24 hours...(Wei, I sleep b4 12 ok...whr got 24 hours?)

haha..Just like what I told you guys, I always enjoy life to the fullest.
I learnt my lesson to start study early, so, I was quite prepared for exam.
I did spend 3-4 hours a day studying for the last 4 weeks, I think it's quite enuf kua...

My study time is, morning, then class finish on 4pm, after that 4pm, means, YAHOO!!!!
PLAYTIME!!!!

Ish, I already have plans for my coming holidays..haha
first, want go hiking with college friends,
Then Need to practise my song for the coming Fete de la musique French Music festival.
Then....go photoshooting la, abo...U wan me stay at home shoot ah boon everyday ke???hahaha

Webcam fever

Ever since I bought a webcam from PC fair, I've been webcaming almost everyday..well, at least the first 2 weeks, then was busy to prepare for my assignments and final exam..
well, final exam is like 7 more days..So happy wei, finally got holiday liao..

But hor..me now also feel like holiday la, cz hor....I'm playing all day long..
well, I do study like mad too..at least in the morning for 3 hours, and at night for 2-3 hours..

okie, back to webcaming....
well, I've been doing lots of crazy stuff in webcam too..
some cannot disclose la, me so ugly some times ma..haha

How to do this effect?
just simply aim yr camera directly to the sun, try to zoom until u get the effect.

I can't explain why this effect happens, but just know how to do it accidentally.

It's being a very busy days since I started college..
until I didn't see Boom Tze for 1 week plus..
Even Boom Tze also merajuk and got emo...

price height like hell wei..last month bought RM12, now selling at RM17..

Lomography-Reflections?

Sorry guys, was kinda busy lately with college..
Got quizes and finals is in 2-3 weeks..WOW...That's close..

Was kinda bored this morning..actually..
It's my hand gatal la..hahah...
At first jz planned to shoot some photos with boom tze...

Then suddenly saw this car..WOW..cool..
Then ma shoot it for lomography lor.

I'm still obsess with lomography..
well, I jz can't take my hands and eyes off them, they're just too tempting...

Canon models part.2

Well...Was kinda skeptical to post this at first,
After some support from my dad, I decided to post this up.

On that day I did not use any flash at all, not even the build in flash, jz off flash shooting..
The aperture from F4 onwards, and shutter is 1/125, ISO 400..

I was surprised that the results is quite ok, not really under expose nor over-expose.

Very happy to experience shooting runway models actually..
Well, I'll try my best if I have another chance in the future.

Baby kia

His name is baby kia, it's the albino version of golden hamster..
I saw this 2 weeks back, and find it interesting to have a unique albino hamster..hehe

So decided to buy it..
At first we try to name him..

well, since he is white, we called him ah pek..(Hokien for white..)
So, it sounds like old man....so we change it to pek pek...
well...pek pek sound vulgar enough...
Then 9pek9bo(aka my dad) go change it to chibai...
well, guess wht..
Golden hamster is famous for long fur...
So my dad say, when the fur long time he will tell me :Charles, yr chibai mor long d....
OMG!!!!!!!

Worst still, he say, if I forgot to bath my smelly hamster..wht happen???

What's this??
This was the shot that cause an electric shock to me..
The reason why I started photography.
It was on OCT14 07', 2am in the morning that I shot shot this.(that was like 6-7 months back)

Well, why did I started photography?
After taking this shot, I got so shocked...I was like OMG!!!I did something cool...

From then I began to be obsess with photography,
From taking water splashes, to taking droplets, CDs spectrum, Smoke, reflection stuff, milk splashes, insects, to portraiture...

well, Since I started photography, I really learnt a lot..
I learnt to be more creative,
to be more patient, and look at things differently.

Well, photography rocks!!!

Canon Models

Well, this is my first experience shooting real runway models.
Was kinda skeptical with the effects at first cz I do not own a speedlite flash or whatever they call it..(U know the big big big flash la..)

fortunately, they were like 80-100 photographer yesterday..
well...can you imagine what happens when they flash?
Hmm..bingo..I also got the light la...hahhaha

Some of my shots turns out overexpose, cz sometimes too many flash clashed together creating too much of lights..

I've learn so so much throughout this shots,
I've learn about catching the angle, the expression of the model.
capturing at the right time and the right amount of frame is totally important.




Hmm..exam is just around the corner..hmm..must jia you d..
Next stop...Lomography again?hmm..tak tau la...
I really hope to have more special and unique shots rather than doing common shots ..
Was thinking of usin reflection as my theme again..hahha..

Guess what...It's faded...It still have some red on it, but looks more like brown to me now..

okie, haven't been writing about my life for quite some times..

Actually there's nothing much lately since I started college..
I go college everyday, come back, blog, shout, check mails, then sleep, second day wake up go college again...blah..blah..blah..

Ok, I'm having business communication and English for this sem..
And it's a 7 week short sem...OMG!!!

Time is running out..I have 3 more weeks before my final exam and I have like 300-400 pages of text to read..OMG!!!
I've done 170 so far..
so..jz gambateh la..

also I have english assignment to do, I have to write an essay and pass it up on friday..
I still can't decide wht to write on..
I have 3 choices...
-Premarital sex?
-Art of photography?
-Art of lomography?

which one is the best?

anyway, everything will be about study study for the next 3 weeks...
I'm gonna stick to my college library for the next 3 weeks so that I can concerntrade..

Lomography the Taiwanese way!!

Lomography was introduced in the early 1990s

Where a couple of student discovered a small Russian compact camera.
They then started to experiment with new artistic shots, creating off killing effects..
Results in flood of authentic, colourful, crazy, off-the-wall, unfamiliar and often brilliant snapshots.

Major exhibition has shown in major cities and 100,000 lomographys is shown in a time.
Creating an international reputation of lomography.

As for now, Taiwanese has been so obsess with lomography lately,
They started their own style of lomography,
From Human portraiture to still life.

And one of the most photographed subject for lomographys are pipes and traffic lights..
Their style of lomography includes using more chemical on precessing the film which creates even more faded & under saturated effects..

Note, The previous lomography I posted were all over-saturated..
This time, I'm trying out the under saturated style, aka taiwanese style..
Another famous characteristic of Taiwanese lomography are blur and high on noise..
WOW!!I tell u, I really love that kind of effect.

And today, I'm trying out with traffic lights shots...

DAY 5

ok, day 5..
I've gone red for 5 days..
Let's guess and see how long can this red last..

You know right..
Red doesn't usually last long..Sometimes within a week...all gone..
And guess wht..
I feel that it's fading..
Cz I seen some brown on my hair..

could it be my previous brown hair tht I didn't dye?cz I did highlight only ma..
certain part still didn't cover yet..

Besides..the red isn't that red dy...
How leh..so sad..I go spoil my hair..and the color doesn't last..ish..ish...swt..
I'm using color shampoo d..but it seems that my hair color still fades..ish..

Let's just sit back and see how long can it last..

Lomo+Kodak motto & concept

The motto & concept of Kodak's Lomography is "Just take, Dun think"

Well..what does that mean exactly?
It means dun think too much whether it's nice or not,
Just take as many as posible, then choose the best.

Also dun evn look into your view finder or LCD..
And the shot below is shot at knee height..I did not even look into the LCD or view finder to compose my photo..

So, that is what I got while taking Suyi's portraiture.

So..Why not start lomography today?
It's fun, cool and beautiful!!

Red headed

I somehow beginning to love my red hair..
Although It's quite red,
lucky I jz did highlight..if no mampus la aku...
I'll totally freak out..

Imin is right...red does make my skin looks fairer..
And It make my features stands out too...
especially my eyebrow..hehehe

Maybe red does suit me..hehe..
As for now..I so very the love my red hair..
I'm now officially pure angmoh...hahahaas in red hair=angmoh..hahaha



You know what?
I realise those aunties in the market are even more daring than me..
Cz they have redder hair than me..and their hair color is like super bright..OMG...

Suyi Part. 4

Suyi..My niece again..

She's such an angel, And She's so cute I tell you.
She's my cousin sister's daughter.

Was taking some shots of her this morning outside the market at Rifle Range..
She took So so many ballons from Digi's roadshow..
WOW..It's about 20-30 balloons she took.

Ok, about my style of portraiture.
If you notice, I love go up close & personal.
Means you take very very close shots of yr model.
Emphasize on my model's face.

It makes the model stands out more..
Using a F2.8 and above lens doen't really give me nice depth of field..
Plus my censor size make almost no dof most of the time.

I dun own a 50mm F1.8 lens, this makes portraiture much more challenging to me.
I have to think of ways to try to get my model stand out.
whereas 50mm makes yr model stands out easily cz of the depth of field.

Remember, never ever take portraiture from near distance, take from far, but use zoom.
Cz shooting near might make the face distort.

He was too tired..
Dun even wan to kai kai and walk..terus sleep on my keyboard for an hour..
OMG..

He's such a baby..

I've learn so much lately..

I've learn "touch wood" in college..
Our lecturer actually use that throughout the whole class the other day..

At first I don't really get it..
Then after some explanation..
Ok, finally I understand what is touch wood...

OMG..I'm so dumb..touch wood touch wood...swt..swt..

I've seen kuso like almost everywhere..
From kuso dolls, "kuso" mentioned in radio stations & "kuso" in Leehom song lyric..

Finally I got the determination to go search in wikipedia..

Lomography on Human skin

I obviously never did lomography on human skin before..

I've learn some new concept on lomography..
That is "Don't think, Just snap"
Although I never tried it yet..but I think, it'll be fun..

Anyway, the below is my niece.
